We believe in one eternal God, who exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe God the Father is the Creator of heaven and earth, Maker of all things visible and invisible. God's sovereign power sustains the world and determines its end.
We believe Jesus Christ is Lord of all, fully God and fully man. He is the eternal Son of the Father made incarnate by the Holy Spirit through the Virgin Mary. We believe Jesus, fulfilling the purpose of the Father, substituted his perfect life for us and for all people and made a sacrifice sufficient on the cross to take away our sin. This gracious act forms the only basis for redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin. After his burial, Jesus was raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and remains the believer's great High Priest. On a day the Father has fixed, Jesus will return in power and glory to judge the world.
We believe all of us are sinners, people whose lives fall short of what God requires. So only by grace apart from our works are we saved. We are saved when we believe in what God has done for us and receive Jesus into our lives. We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates those who receive Christ. The Spirit then indwells believers seeking to shape and transform them from ordinary people into passionate, purposeful followers of Jesus.
We believe in the reality of Satan, the enemy and accuser of Christians, who was defeated at the cross and will one day be destroyed by Christ. We believe in the reality of evil in the world and in the eternal death that awaits those who refuse to invite Christ into their lives.
We believe in the unity of all who have received Christ and in the priesthood of all believers. Together all of us form one church, the Body, of which Christ is the Head. The church exists for the purposes of worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, mission and ministry.
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as given by God are divinely inspired, true in all they intend to affirm, and wholly trustworthy as the authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
