"Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed."
(Romans 12:2)
Since we seek to be a church that transforms ordinary people into passionate, purposeful followers of Jesus Christ, we commit ourselves to becoming people whose lives reflect:
Truthfulness
We value God's truthfulness and teaching that applies God's truth to our lives. We seek to be truthful with God, with others, and with ourselves.
Relationships
We value relationships built on the foundation of Jesus' incredible love for each of us. In obedience to Jesus' command, we strive to show love to one another in every aspect of our life.
Authenticity
We value open, real, authentic communication from people who are willing to share their struggles and their successes with one another and with God
Numbers
Changed lives matter to God. So we value numbers that show that more and more lives are being changed. We value goal-setting, hard work, and accountability as we seek to reach larger numbers of lost people and build believers into passionate, purposeful disciples.
Service
We value the discovery and use of the gifts and talents God gives us to serve others around us in ministry and the world in mission.
Fellowship
We value the community Christ creates when he calls us to belong to him and to each other. It is through the power of community, in a small or large group, that spiritual formation and spiritual growth happens in each of our lives.
Others
We value being a church for others. We don't exist to please ourselves. We exist to fulfill God's' command to love our neighbor and Jesus' commission to make disciples.
Relevance
We value flexibility that enables us to communicate effectively to people around us, and we value conviction that holds on firmly to God's unchanging truth in the midst of a changing world.
Maturity
We value spiritual disciplines of listening and learning that lead us to grow in Christ and live out more fully God's purposes for our lives. We affirm that Christian maturity means speaking in loving ways that build up all people including the church and its leaders, and speaking directly and personally to others in cases of conflict.
Excellence
We value those who strive for excellence in their lives and their ministries. Having a passion for excellence honors God and inspires others.
Desire
We value the desire that leads people to be passionate about serving Christ in their lives and becoming "transformed people who want to be used as transformers in the lives of others.."
