Love God.
Worshiping together, across generations, is the center of all we do. In worship we hear the gospel and are blessed and embraced by God’s grace so that we can be sent to be a blessing and embrace others.
Deuteronomy 6:5
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
Matthew 22:37-38
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment.
Love Others.
We are one body in Christ, citizens of God’s Kingdom and members of his covenant community. We will learn to speak in post-Christendom accents so that we can become confident but humble messengers of the Gospel.
Matthew 22:39
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.’
John 13:35
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Romans 12:5
So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Serve the World.
God’s passions are our passions. The world we are called to serve starts just outside our door. We will break out of our comfort zones and use our gifts to bring more peace, justice, joy and love to the world.
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
